  • Every occasion requires unique performance times. For the most part, each event has the same format listed here:

  • You sure can! Depending on the event, you may prefer a full 4 piece band, Trio, or Duo. Arrangements are usually decided upon to work with budgets and venue limitations.

  • For private and corporate events or functions, we ask for a deposit to confirm the booking with the remainder to be finalised prior to the week of the performance.

  • Yes, we most definitely can! Please let us know what style playlist you would prefer and we will be sure to put some music on during the set breaks.

  • Having performed at many weddings and corporate events, we’ve met some amazing people. We would be more than happy to recommend some of the standout creatives that we’ve met along the way.

  • In some cases, you may like to make an announcement or speech through our PA system. Please organise this with us prior to the performance so we can have a spare microphone for you to use. In any other case, due to legal and safety reasons, patrons and guests are not allowed to get up on stage with us.

  • By default, we do not include PA and production costs. Depending on the size of the event, we may need to reach out to a contractor. In most cases, we can arrange the PA system ourselves. We will note this in the quote.

  • A cover band is called that because they "cover" songs written and originally performed by other artists. These "covered" songs are recreated and performed live by the band.

  • A cover band plays music written by other artists, typically focusing on well-known and popular songs. This can be a great way for established musicians to perform a variety of music for audiences who enjoy familiar tunes.

  • Tribute bands and cover bands both perform music by other artists, but with a key difference:

Cover bands play a wide range of songs from various artists and eras. They might focus on a specific genre or decade, or create a setlist with popular hits that will appeal to a broad audience.

Tribute bands dedicate their performance to replicating the music, stage presence, and even look of a single artist or band. They aim to give fans an experience as close to seeing the original act as possible.

VIVID falls under the cover band category, bringing you a high-energy mix of popular music to get your party started!

  • There's no single "most popular" cover band! The perfect band for an event depends on the occasion and the audience.

VIVID tailors our setlists to fit the vibe you're looking for. Whether it's a wedding reception with classic dance hits or a bar night with energetic rock anthems, we'll create a playlist that keeps your guests entertained all night long.

Let us know what kind of music you envision for your event, and VIVID will bring it to life!

  • Backing tracks are pre-recorded instrumental parts that accompany a live performance. VIVID uses them to enhance our sound by adding fullness and replicating elements from the original recordings that might be difficult to achieve with a standard band setup. This allows us to deliver a powerful and dynamic live experience for our audience.

Does using backing tracks mean VIVID isn't a real band?

Absolutely not :) VIVID is a full band with talented musicians who play live. Backing tracks complement our sound by adding extra layers or instruments to some songs that would benefit from them. We still perform all the core elements of the songs live.

Why not just play everything live?

Approximately 70% of our set does not include any backing tracks at all. Backing tracks are used to add elements of a recording that we cannot reproduce live, for example, a saxophone, an orchestra or a synth. They tend to sit within the back of the mix, not on top.
